The short and long-range orders in alloys can be assessed based on a new expression for the combinatorial factor, which is more convenient intuitive than traditionally used form. This novel directly applied to reproduce results of several well-known statistical-thermodynamic models that are typically considered independent or even inconsistent. list includes Quasichemical Theory, Associated Solution Model, Surrounded Atom Cluster Site Approximation. As result, formalism interpretation these significantly clarified, allowing us identify fix long-standing errors might otherwise have gone unnoticed. Multicomponent generalization also greatly simplified. For systems undergoing phase transition, an extended version theory provides mechanism allows correct critical temperature transition reproduced, as well significant increase accuracy thermodynamic functions. In case order–disorder transformations, ensures integrated description orders, has long been important difficult problem.
